  • diamond-jub CSIR-NCL celebrates sixty years of its growth and existence. The occasion is graced by Dr. Manmohan Singh, the Prime Minister of India and Shri Prithviraj Chavan, Minister for Science and Technology, Government of India.

  • A new 65000 sq.ft. Laboratory building to house the research functions of polymers and advanced materials is created, the first comprehensive laboratory buildings to come on NCL campus in over twenty five years.
 
  • Dr. Sourav Pal, Head of Physical and Materials Chemistry Division of CSIR-NCL assumes office as the ninth director of CSIR-NCL(2010 -2015).
  • Dr. K. Vijayamohanan, Director, CSIR- CECRI, Karaikudi takes over additional charge of Director, CSIR- NCL in June 2015.
  • Picture7 Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister for Science & Technology & Earth Sciences inaugurates the ‘Indus MAGIC’, a program on process intensification aimed at developing MAGIC processes and plants.
 
  • Prof. Ashwini Kumar Nangia, Department of Chemistry, University of Hyderabad takes over the charge of Director, CSIR- NCL in March 2016.
  • CSIR organizes a Mega Exhibition at CSIR-NCL as a part of Platinum Jubilee Celebrations in August, 2017.

  • Hon’ble Union Minister of Science and Technology and Earth Sciences, Dr. Harsh Vardhan inaugurates the DME Pilot Plant under Mission Project “Catalysis for Sustainable Development” in September 2019.
