Smita Gadre was born in Pune and studied Organic Chemistry from University of Pune. She completed her Ph. D. in 1994 from NCL under the supervision of Dr. S. Rajappa, since then she has been working in the group of Dr. G. Pandey and her research interest is in the area of the development of new synthetic methodology.
