Supply of cultures (Charges applicable):
NCIM endeavors to supply pure, nonpathogenic, viable and authentic cultures. Orders for cultures will be accepted by request on official letter-head duly signed by Head of the Institute/Department and should specify the scientific name of the microorganism and preferably its NCIM accession number. The cultures, if, found damaged by postal handling or contaminated during the transit will be replaced free of cost only if these are returned to us within three weeks with an email proof of damage. Cultures can be ordered by online utility or by email requests only. Please specify invoice and delivery address in the email request.
The cultures are generally supplied by us on agar slopes (optional: lyophilized vials can be provided upon request, if applicable, same charges) and are sent by registered parcel/courier/speed post only after the receipt of the payment by DD. The requestor should confirm the availability of cultures before making the payment. Please indicate correct address to which cultures should be sent or delivered. Deposit of cultures
General deposit: (No charges applicable)
We accept only industrially and taxonomically important non-pathogenic strains. Researchers wishing to deposit cultures should follow this procedure: A depositor should contact a Scientist In-charge before dispatching the culture. The depositor giving all the detail information regarding the culture should complete a data sheet attached in the online catalog. Deposited cultures would be made available to the depositor free of cost only one time in one year. While every endeavor would be made to ensure that the cultures are maintained, no guarantee can be given for the continuous maintenance of a given strain. We will provide you with a NCIM accession number/deposit certificate after verifying the viability & purity of the organism at our end followed by depositor’s check approval. Deposit form is mandatory while contacting NCIM.
Safe deposit: (Charges applicable)
Cultures in this category are covered under confidentiality and secured statements. Only the depositor has access to the safe deposit strains. NCIM charges are annual basis for such deposits. Depositor should sign an agreement with NCIM while depositing strain in safe deposit category.
Genetic identification information is must while depositing cultures. NCIM also provide such identification services.
Freeze drying/ Lyophilization (Charges applicable)

Microbial identification (Charges applicable)
Identification of microbial cultures by phenotypic (Vitek compact-2) and genotypic (sequencing), biochemical (API) services, kindly contact NCIM by email before sending samples.

NCIM does not accept the cash or cheques . Only the Demand draft (DD) is acceptable.
